We are delighted to share Newton’s Business Development Director, Rachel Littlejohn, has been shortlisted in the Next Generation category for The Herald Scotland Scottish Family Business Awards.
Rachel’s journey with Newton began eight years ago when she joined the business development team. Since then, she has become an integral part of the company’s expansion and strategic initiatives.
Since stepping into her directorship, Rachel has led a series of transformative projects and strategic initiatives that have been pivotal to Newton’s continued success. By conducting a thorough analysis, she identified key opportunities for improvement, allowing the company to refine its approach and maximise growth potential.
Rachel has also taken a lead role in managing and streamlining Newton’s sales pipeline. Her focus on creating a more efficient and structured approach to sales has resulted in increased productivity and a clearer path for future growth. Under her guidance, the business development team has not only grown, but thrived. She has been instrumental in assembling a talented and ambitious team and has developed ongoing development plans to ensure they continue to grow with the business.
In addition to her work on internal operations, Rachel has also driven forward Newton’s acquisition strategy. She played a pivotal role in the acquisitions of Morrison Walker, Atholls and APL— key milestones that have solidified Newton’s position as one of the largest property management companies in the country.
Rachel’s leadership has also extended to the marketing front. Recognising the need for a fresh approach, she led a full rebrand of Newton Property Management, aligning the company’s image with its evolving values and ambitions. Alongside the rebrand, Rachel has overseen the development of a comprehensive new marketing strategy, ensuring that Newton’s brand is communicated effectively to both existing and potential clients.
Rachel’s ability to drive change within the business has already made a significant impact. In her first year as a board member, she has been a dynamic force, bringing fresh ideas, challenging the status quo, and ensuring that the company stays on the cutting edge of the industry. Her energy is contagious, and her commitment to the future of Newton is unwavering.
Her strategic thinking, combined with her passion for the business, has already begun to pave the way for the next generation of success.
We wish Rachel the best of luck ahead of the awards on November 28th.
