We were delighted to share the successful conclusion of a landmark building warranty claim at The Observatory, 88 Highburgh Road – one of the West End of Glasgow’s most recognisable developments earlier this year.
Derek MacDonald, Technical Services Director at Newton comments:
”The Observatory is a fine modern development which sits proudly among the West End’s Grand Tenements, and Newton is proud to have played a key role in securing the outcome needed to see the property move towards its next chapter. We are incredibly pleased with the result, and grateful to the Observatory Owners Association and all who worked with us over the last five years to bring this to fruition.”
The result, is a development that will be optimal for a future generation, avoiding a higher financial hit for the owners and clarity for the sales market at the development. This result has been five years in the making, with the Glasgow team working tirelessly alongside the owners to navigate a complex process and bring the claim to completion.
With a final value in excess of £5.1 million, this represents a huge outcome for those involved and a significant turning point for the building.
Ian Gault, Chairperson of the Observatory Owners Association comments:
“During the recent warranty claim to remedy significant repairs to our building, Newton Property provided the guidance necessary to process the claim successfully and worked very closely with the owners to engage the necessary support and skills to manage the project. I would like to thank Newton Property for their support during this very difficult period and look forward to our continued relationship.”
